Smooch is a pup from our 2007 litter. It was Elise’s big wish for a long time to have a puppy from Skippy. This wish came true with the birth of Smooch. Smooch has a very open cheerful character. She is very enthusiastic meeting anyone. She behaves less seriously than her mother Skippy. She can behave like a clown sometimes. She’s a dog that enjoys life to the full.
Smooch has a strong enterprising character, knows exactly what she wants, and is not easily impressed by anything. She has a strong relationship with her mother Skippy and has great respect for her. She also likes to play with our Dyna.
In training she is tireless: she will never have enough of it, whatever we are doing. She loves obedience, flyball and frisbee, and every exercise is done at full speed. At this moment Elise and Smooch are mainly active in agility. She loves it and is very fast and driven, while also being cntrollable. The biggest challenges are the contact points and waiting at the start. Smooch has achieved two clear round in the first grade in January 2010. This can be seen on her videopage.
Smooch has had a lot of health tests and passed all of them. In June 2010 her first litter was born out of the English Working Trial Champion Flynntastic Red Jaff of Tarnforce. Because she had this litter and had a tendon injury afterwards she was not involved in agility training for a while. In 2011 she competed in agility again and in March she earned her final promotion point for FCI grade 2.

- Pennhip result: DI right 0.41, DI left 0.36. There is no radiographic evidence of Degenerative Joint Disease. The hips of Smooch are tighter than approximately 70% of the Border Collies in the Pennhip database.
- X-ray back, shoulders and knees: no deformations, OCD free, Spondylosis free en Patellar Luxation free.
- Last eye examination: February 2010. Result: free.
- Gonioscopy: glaucoma free.
- BAER test: hearing normal.
- Because her mother Skye and her grandparents Kuhaylan's Australia Red Shane-B and Laetare Befaithful Jane were DNA CEA tested normal, the DNA of Smooch is also declared normal by parentage. This means Smooch will never develop CEA. Also Smooch can be bred to any mate and will produce no pups affected with CEA.
- The DNA of Smooch has been tested TNS normal and CL normal. This means Smooch will never develop TNS or CL. Also Smooch can be bred to any mate and will produce no pups affected with these diseases.
